Haumea Labs ("we", "our", or "us") provides PawsAndPairs (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use the App, why it is processed, and the choices available to you.
1. Information processed
PawsAndPairs does not require you to create an account. Game progress and preferences are stored locally on your device.
The App uses the following third-party services, which may process information automatically:
- Google AdMob: provides rewarded advertisements. Depending on your device settings and consent choices, Google may process IP address (which can indicate approximate location), advertising or device identifiers, interactions with the App and ads, and diagnostic information. This information is used to deliver ads, measure their performance, prevent fraud, and maintain the service.
- Amplitude: provides product analytics. We record events such as onboarding steps, screens or puzzles opened, puzzle progress, hint use, and completion events, together with a pseudonymous device identifier and technical context such as app version, device type, operating system, language, and country or region inferred from network information. We use this information to understand aggregate usage and improve the App. We do not intentionally send your name, email address, precise location, puzzle text you enter, or advertising identifier to Amplitude.
2. How we use information
- Provide and improve gameplay, onboarding, hints, and puzzle difficulty.
- Understand App usage and diagnose performance issues.
- Display and measure rewarded advertisements.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. Advertising and consent choices
Where required, the App asks for consent before using information for personalized advertising. You can decline tracking or personalized ads and still play the game and receive the same gameplay rewards. Non-personalized or limited ads may still use contextual information and limited storage or identifiers for frequency capping, aggregate reporting, security, and fraud prevention.
You can change advertising and tracking permissions in your iOS or Android device settings. Where an in-app privacy options control is available, you may also use it to revisit your consent choices.
4. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only with service providers needed to operate the App, including Google AdMob and Amplitude, and when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, and security. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies:
5. Retention and security
Local game data remains on your device until you clear the App's data or uninstall it. Third-party providers retain information according to their policies and our configured retention settings. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of personal information, or to withdraw consent. 7. Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, or the higher minimum age required in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
8. International processing
Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the App or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here and update its effective date.
