Haumea Labs ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information when you use our application, ToyMe ("the App").

1. Information We Collect

The App has no user accounts, and we do not ask for your name, email address or contact details. What we do process is set out below: the photos you choose to transform (section 1.1), and the data collected automatically by the third-party services the App uses:

  • AdMob by Google: Used to serve advertisements. AdMob may collect and use device identifiers, cookies, and usage data to provide personalized ads.
  • Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics: Used to monitor app performance and crashes. Firebase may collect device-related information such as IP addresses, device models, operating system versions, and anonymized usage data.
  • RevenueCat: Used for managing in-app subscriptions and purchases. RevenueCat may collect transaction information related to your purchases.
  • Country: our own servers work out a country code from the network address your device connects from, so that we can see which countries the App is used in. The address itself is not stored, and it is not sent to an external geolocation service.

1.1 Photos and AI Processing

Creating a figure requires sending your photo off your device. Before the first generation, the App shows an in-app disclosure that says exactly what is sent and who receives it, and nothing is uploaded unless you agree. You can withdraw that permission at any time from the “How your photo is used” screen on the App's home screen, and the App will ask again before the next generation.

What is sent. The photo you select, the style you choose, the details you type in for your figure when a style asks for them (a character name, a profession or accessories), an anonymous device identifier generated by the App, the platform (iOS or Android) and whether you have an active subscription.

Who receives it. The photo is uploaded to Haumea Labs' image servers and forwarded to our AI processing provider, fal.ai, which runs the generative model that produces the stylized image. These are the only recipients. Photos are never sent to our advertising or analytics providers.

How it is used. Solely to generate the image you asked for and return it to you. We do not use your photos for advertising, profiling or analytics, we do not perform facial recognition, facial detection or biometric analysis, and we do not use them to identify you.

How long it is kept. Your photo travels inside the generation request itself rather than being uploaded to file storage, and file storage is disabled for it, so it is not retained on fal.ai's servers after the request has been processed. The image the model produces is stored by fal.ai for 5 minutes (300 seconds), after which it is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Haumea Labs' servers hold the photo only for as long as the generation request is running.

Third-party protection. fal.ai processes the photos on our behalf and solely to carry out the generation request we send. We require our AI processing provider to apply protections equivalent to those described in this policy. fal.ai's own privacy policy is available on their website.

2. How We Use Information

The collected data is used solely to:

  • Generate the stylized image you request, as described in section 1.1.
  • Improve app performance and stability.
  • Display relevant advertisements.
  • Monitor and analyze app usage.

We do not sell or trade your personal data. The only third party that receives the photos you submit is our AI processing provider, fal.ai, and only to generate the image you requested. The other third-party services listed above process device and usage data according to their respective privacy policies.

5. Your Choices

You can withdraw your permission for AI photo processing at any time from the “How your photo is used” screen on the App's home screen. Without that permission the App will not upload any photo.

You can opt out of personalized ads through your device settings:

  • Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization.
  • iOS: Settings > Privacy > Tracking > Disable Allow Apps to Request to Track.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the App. Your continued use of the App after modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
